Melinda! Thank you so much for letting me know! You just made my day. I’m so glad to know your “mummies” might get out and finished! 🙂

I thank you and others for sharing. I have not been creating for too long (my ever-growing stash disagrees with that statement!) and unfortunately I do not always have a lot of free time to create but when I do, nothing is more disappointing when one tries to replicate a design idea that has been floating around in the brain and multiple attempts are unsuccessful. Then time is up, the failed project is wrapped up in a tea towel and added to the growing number of “failed/not finished/forgot what I was trying to accomplish” projects…that are beginning to look like a pile of wrapped mummies in a long forgotten tomb! Haha.

Thanks to your informative directions, I now understand why one of my design ideas failed! If you had just shown the 3 links between the hoops without explaining that having those 3 links allows the necklace to lay flat when worn…I likely would have never figured that out…at least not in the limited time I have available to create!

For lack of a better description, that mechanical or “engineering” knowledge of jewellery design, so to speak, may be simple and a given for others with more design experience but not so necessarily for me or other “newbies”!

So thanks to you, I will be going on a “archeological dig” soon to retrieve one of my mummified by tea towel incomplete projects!

Thank you Rena! ❤️

And it’s perfect for using the many links I’ve gotten from taking apart old jewelry to “repurpose”. Thanks once again!

I also like it because it seem like a project I could undertake. Very nice looking! Always a great tutorial.

It is very eye catching.

The choker turned out so pretty. I think it’d look really good at a longer length, too.

Nicely done!

I’m just investigating silversmithing and am coming up with so many possibilities and designs it’s mind boggling! Now I want to go look thru my box of broken jewellery and see what I can make. 🙂

That is very beautiful. I have a version I have made like this from an idea that was in a magazine, I had read. Well it has stones( beads of any kind) and is actually made out of filament aka fishing line. I just interlocked them together and they are sort of a big hit. But I like what you came up with, about plain old wire, and chain.

The very first thing that popped into my head when I saw this is turning it into a belt. It would be so easy to get super creative with a design like this!
