Rena, it was an empty box from Ikea I used on its side for height. I store pre-loaded bracelet displays but may use a solid dark color next time so it recedes. This forum is so awesome to get other feedback! I am excited to use that tent I finally bought and sell outside soon. Taking the next step:)

I created little rectangular displays out of dollar store canvases: get some neutral fabric (mine is a nice low-shine ivory polyester), and staple it on. I then lay my jewellery on top of these, and just leave the canvases flat on the table. It gives them a teeny bit of height, and makes sure they stand out, regardless of what else is going on on my table.

I like your idea of adding pops of color for visual appeal but I would do shots of color where the jewelry is not placed….or perhaps use it to frame the jewelry. For example, take a square of color (example: silk fabric), and place it strategically on your table. Then take, let’s say, a white cloth napkin that is smaller than the colored fabric and place it on top of the colored fabric so that the color frames the white napkin. Then, lay the jewelry on top of the napkin, and viola! You have a pop of color surrounding the white, and your viewer can easily see your jewelry items. I have found that if jewelry is located on top of color, the jewelry gets lost visually and the viewer has to “fight” to see the jewelry. Psychologically, that leads the customer away from your booth quickly because the viewer works too hard at being able to find your pieces. Does that make sense to you?

The rich satiny fabric definitely adds elegance to the display. Here’s an idea to keep it from blowing away: Tie or stitch a metal washer to each corner of the cloth; paint or decorate the washers so they look like a lovely accent.

I love the boothful of colorful jewelry – people will love to browse through the pretty colors and choose their favorites!

About decluttering – I’m not sure what the red item with black and white trim is (behind the white bracelet bar), but if it isn’t an essential part of your display, it may be a distraction from your jewelry since the red is such an eye catching color. If you have other color-pop items next to your jewelry, you may want to stand back a few feet and check whether they make you look at the jewelry, or at the color-pop item.

Wishing you all the best with the shows you do in your new tent! 🙂
