I’ve always been a silver junkie too, but had bought some copper wire to practice wrapping techniques and antiquing. I too love it now. I think people seek out silver, but stumble upon copper accidentally.

And I love the mix of silver and copper together. And depending on if and how you patina the copper, it will go with any skin tone. I have found that while I do love the look of raw copper, it almost blends with my skin and doesn’t stand out well, especially with rings. But if I patina it, it looks amazing on my skin! I love that you can get so many different looks with copper. Not only do I like copper and silver together, but add red brass into the mix and it looks like you are working with rose, white and yellow gold.

I’ve been working with copper for some time now and have loved it from the start. I love your copper and serpentine necklace. To have even more fun…torch your copper and see all the pretty colors come out. Yes, copper and silver are great companions! Great work!!

I tried to choose a favorite of your pieces above, but it’s a tie between the Copper & Serpentine Necklace with its wonderful shape contrasts, and the Fall Necklace with the lovely way you created the leaves.

Thanks for sharing your experience with trying and loving a new metal! 🙂
