I am fascinated with Kumihimo and I can’t stop creating different designs. I am constantly reading up on Kumihimo and the various techniques. Nature inspires me so I try to incorporate it in my designs.

Most of the supplies you need can be purchased at a craft store and it is helpful to start with cords (unbeaded) to get a working knowledge of kumihimo. Also, I would encourage you to find S-lon when you start using beads. I have not had great luck with thinner stringing material staying untangled, even on the smallest piece. Feel free to contact me via email if you want further information. Best, Julia

A fascinating way to design your way around the world – and the resulting jewelry is fantastic!
