Your sign is beautiful and a great idea!! If I ever open up a studio, I would do something similar (in my own style of course).
I usually refer to myself as a “jewelry artist”. It just seems to encompass more. But they will always be people who ask what a jewelry artist is.

Donna, I usually say I am a wire artisan, or that I make artisan wire jewelry, but sometimes all the listeners hear is “Jeweler.”

How long will it be before someone commissions a sign from you? Not long, I’m guessing!

I have also said “I make jewelry” and felt strange saying this. But I recently read an article that said we should be saying “I am a jewelry artist”. This seems much better. Afterall, we have spent years learning and developing our skills. Just thought I would share this.

I have had the same experience with people inquiring about my work… I work predominantly with Chainmaille. Although I specify “Chainmaille” in any of my marketing/signs/etc, I get a surprising amount of people asking for wedding bands, watch repairs, etc. I designed a banner that pretty clearly depicts my work in photos, but have always thought it would be awesome to create a sign made from actual maille… This definitely inspired me! Thank you for sharing, and again, beautiful work!
