Copper Wire & Silk Wrapped Earrings with Carnelian & Zoisite

I’ve been making big, dramatic boho tribal style earrings that are mainly silk wrapped for some time now.

They have some wire wrapping, as well, but lately I’ve been trying to hit on an idea to combine some of the newer (wire wrap) techniques I’ve been working with the past few months with the silk wrapping.

These earrings were a break through for me in terms of combined techniques & I’m pretty happy with them.

They’re fairly simple & I’d like to work on jazzing them up more, but I like the “flow” of them very much.

Plus, wire wrapped earrings are much different than creating a pendant piece, you constantly have to keep weight in mind.
