This satisfies my idea of ” painting” with gems and jewelry. Beautiful work and congrats on the cover.

Congratulations on winning the cover! Both versions are simply stunning! It takes true artistry to make those transitions with the media used in these necklaces.

It’s hard to take my eyes off this collection of bead shapes and sizes forming a perfect rainbow of color! Congratulations, and I wish you many more magazine covers. 🙂

I am humbled to have my design selected for the cover and appreciate all the notice it/I receive. I just completed a 3rd version in all sterling silver that uses smaller stones so it is not as “super-chunked”!

I love the rainbow transition and the double strand. I have been inspired to look through my bead soup again.
Thanks

It has to be an amazing feeling to see your work on the cover of a magazine! WooHoo! I love it. You have inspired me. I have been playing with the idea of Ombre use of color on a necklace, but worried about it looking lopsided or disjointed. Your use of two levels is brilliant and a great solution.

I have just designed a similar necklace but mine is with much smaller beads. I got a “grab bag” of small semi-precious stone beads from an online web bead company. You never know what stones or shapes you will get. As I started to sort out the colors I found I had enough to make a 5″ rainbow pattern (red to purple). I’m going to send each side of the necklace with apatite and lapis beads.
