Chandelier Crystal Necklaces

On one of my walks late this summer I came across a chandelier that someone had put out at the curb.

I don’t need a chandelier for lighting, but of course my eyes immediately feasted on all those beautiful crystals that I could use to make jewellery with!

It was dusty, but I knew a bath could fix that. I sounded a bit like a big walking wind chime as I carried it a couple of blocks home, lol!

Chandelier just had it's bath, to clean up those crystals!

After it’s bath, I took the crystals all off, stored the base in case I ever wanted to do something creative with that, and put the crystals away until I could get to them. I knew I wanted to do something with them for the Christmas season, so last week I got them out.

I didn’t want to take away from the beautiful weighty 2″ crystals, so I wanted to keep the design simple. I came across these organza ribbons in my stock, and they seemed to be a beautiful pairing with them, and I liked the pretty pops of colour the ribbons afforded.

I just added a big pearl and a couple of bead caps. I plan to take them to the Christmas sales I am doing. And I’ve got lots more to play with. 🙂
