I have done so and it works. My husband is my biggest fan with my jewelry, he promotes my jewelry under his Facebook. I have meet so many wonderful customers and artists. When you post information about jewelry business I try to follow it as much as I can. Thank for you advise.

I have lots of school friends on facebook and am active daily on that site. We interact regularly about a variety of topics as girlfriends do. I’ve also made a lot of friends who attended my school at a different time than I did, but that gave us common ground.

I post my creations and photos of experimental pieces I make and ask for their feedback. They like being engaged in what I’m making. Often times they share the link to my photos with their friends and family. Recently, I scanned the list of those who “LIKED” my jewelry on facebook facebook.com/chechesphotojewelry
and sent a free glass photo charm to each of the ones who had never made a purchase before. They loved getting a free surprise in the mail of one of their Facebook photos.

I am new to the internet marketing scene. Your information has given me the courage to try this avenue.
With regard to netwroking, one thing I have begun to do just recently is to start a conversation with the person behind me at the checkout. Eventually I will get around to asking them what kind of activities they are involved in. Then I ask whether their group ever does fund raisers. If the answer is “Yes”, I tell them you would like to offer to do a fund raise with my jewelry. I give them my business card and get their contact information and follow up within the next 24 hours. Works like a charm!

I encourage others as you suggest to start with the bonding and not the selling: )

Be genuine, be interested, get involved. The best way to really impress someone is to remember their name, the next time you see them. Really make an effort to attach a name to a face. Watch how peoples’ eyebrows go way up when you say “oh hey! Amanda! Nice to see you again!” Boom, sale. Done.
