I took a few classes on working with bronze clay. It has been such a fun way to add a dimension to my jewelry pieces.

I have been making molds of old jewelry I found in my grandmother’s jewelry box she left me.

I use those molds to make the body of the piece then usually add a texture to the back and some round hooks so they can be hung from a chain or connected another way.

I just had a show and these new pieces got very positive feedback from my customers.

What a super-cool idea, Kellie, making molds from your grandmother’s pieces! Such an innovative way of replicating the designs in her jewelry, but without harming the actual pieces. And you can make as many of each design as you like. I love your bronze clay work and tassel necklaces!
Oh, I love your work! I’ve only dabbled with polymer clay. You’ve inspired me to learn more about clay. Thank you!
I love this idea! I am to take a metal clay class soon. Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing!
I can’t wait to take a class in polymer clay! Your work is so exciting!
Thank you!! It has been so much fun playing around with this medium.
Now I’m setting stones into the clay….
