Great getting over fears. I often find it takes courage just to do jewelry making as a hobby. I love your husband’s idea too. My husband always helps with my designs and I appreciate his input. We are blessed with great partners. Thank you for sharing!

Being accepted is a fear many face but you did it and create beautiful jewelry. I love stories like yours that are encouraging and help others to just “go for it.”

My particular hangup is about “inventory”… but my husband came up with a great idea that when I make something that I really love, to make a second one – one prototype, one to sell… this will make for a slow start but a good one for me, I think. So thanks for a good reminder about finding our own paths.

A small step at a time is a perfect way of moving forward. It’s the journey that is exciting and not so much the end goal. Learning your trade and discovering yourself is what it is all about.

Your jewelry truly is gorgeous.

Your friends must be wondering, “Where has this girl been hiding her fabulous talent all these years???” :o)

I’m so glad to hear that you took the plunge and things are coming together for you – kudos to you for really doing it.

I think your story will resonate with so many other people.

So many of us hover on the edge of living our dream – the first step often feels like the biggest one, even when it only needs to be a very small one.

Thank you for sharing how you overcame your hesitation and are now doing it

I have had a business since 2008 and I felt like a failure because even though I was selling at little shows here and there I wasn’t getting it going on Etsy or a website. I kept making excuses about perfect photography, not good enough etc… Then bam came a dramatic move back to our home state across country and it took all I had. But today I said that is it I got to start again and do it right! I am going to do it, website, blog, internet store whatever!!! Made up mind to it! Thank you for all your stories, I know I am not alone. 🙂

I have been perfecting my “Little Gems” for over a year, it gives me great satisfaction to finally see them on Etsy.
I couldn’t have done it without this blog. Rena, your newsletter was the best thing to happen to me in 2013!!!!!
