I am signing up for my first show at a small indoors art fair at a nearby country club, and I will need to put together something for my first display. This looks like just the ticket for my first try! Thanks for the inspiration!

Marnet, I agree that when it’s an event where you need a tent, your load definitely gets bigger. 🙂

My Tahoe is filled to the top with seats down, However, I have a tent, 3 tables and boxes so won’t work for me, but I do consolidate where I can. .

I was trying to come up with a minimized setup since I do not have a car; so I can’t do shows but I figured I can do home parties. I was having a hard time because I need the trays and necklace displays, and the trays are bulky. What type of bag is that? Was the tablecloth in one of the boxes? Please do tell, Thank You for the inspiration.

I have more inventory now and a much bigger display – but this one worked so very very well that I may just go back to it for smaller shows again.

Such a lovely display too Natasha, thank you for sharing. Just wish all my stuff fit into only one bag still 🙂

Don’t forget about the back of your table cloth. It’s a great place to sew in a pocket or two for the little odds & ends. You could probably even sew in a cup holder.

But yours…..commendable. I have one tub with everything in it. Fabric covered boards with the jewelry pinned to it are ready to pull out and place on plate racks. Table cloths are folded on top then empty boxes I use for risers. I use a rolling luggage carrier to carry it all including my pocketbook and lunch sack. You can see my table on the “Show Schedule” page on my website.

When I started out, I had no idea what I’d need . . . so i ended up with 4 or 5 huge tubs of ‘set up’ stuff. I like your idea much better!

When I saw that little bag I was thinking, “This isn’t going to be so great.” Then when I scrolled down to see the Voila! photo I actually said aloud, “WOW!! Guess I was wrong!” It looks fantastic! I don’t do shows, I just sell at a local shop, but do set up my own table that stays set up. This gave me some ideas for my display there and for bringing things back and forth. Thank you for sharing

Simplicity is the answer! I’m doing my very first show in December and was struggling with ideas! Tables & cloths will be provided, so thats one thing I won’t have to haul. My search is on for some pretty scarves to cover the cloth to accent my jewelry!

The simplicity is such a timesaver. Also, the end result makes your gorgeous jewelry the focal point of the table. Isn’t that the way it should be? Customers can easily see each piece & zero in on the ones that they’re most interested in. Great job!

My current set up is huge for a show – a large tub for lights and extension cords, a medium tub for tablecloths, 5 smallish tubs of jewellery, 1 smallish tub of display equipment + large soft bag of busts + medium soft bag of more display equipment (t-bars, mirrors, earring stands, cushions, etc), a set of 3 drawers with packaging inside and a wooden writing box with admin things. I use a trolley I have so much!!! (Plus I usually have to take my own tables with risers!). It takes me well over an hour to set up and at least 3/4 hour to pull down. I think I need to downsize LOL.

I just did a show in California so I had to really go minimal since I flew!

My stuff fits in the front seat… and fills the entire back of my Blazer with the back seat flopped down. I wish I could do minimal!

One day I may actually follow that sentiment! I will be doing my first market December 1st and I am still trying to workout my display. I will certainly try to learn from yours.

I’m always looking for an easier way to transport and display. My display actually looks very similar to yours but it take me a couple of totes. I’ll be revamping my set-up for sure

I should learn from this since I usually take a lot of bags and props to set up table, and it’s rather unpractical and time-consuming

Lol about the tablecloths, though! I totally agree that they are excellent at hiding all the evils and extras 🙂
