I realize this is a matter of taste, and you have a dozen designers to consider, but in looking over your collection, I really don’t see a very cohesive look. I’m not sure you’ve identified your target customer, and that might be dragging sales some as well. For example, I sell therapy jewelry too, but my customer is a completely different sort of shopper. I’m not finding much in the way of jewelry in your line that I would consider suitable for most adults, especially women who work in professional offices. I think you already have a very strong line of items that appeal to children and teens, however, so you might want to focus on the youth market. You home school, yes, but perhaps you could cooperate with church camps, Scout groups, 4-H groups, gyms, or public school sports and activity teams to sell more pieces. Are there sporting goods shops, restaurants or other venues nearby that sell to young people? Community fundraisers — e.g. Relay for Life — that you could get involved in?

I also see some pieces that have strong “boomer” appeal. You already have a very supportive “grammy” who enjoys your pieces, and there are lots of seniors who love colorful jewelry and would appreciate the magnets. Senior centers, rehab facilities, spas and stylists that cater to the boomer generation might be nice places to start.

Use the new “about” feature in the info section of your page to tell your story.
For real life sales, if the kids who make the pieces can’t come and be a part, include an artist bio card, either on the display table or with each piece – another way to tell your story and make yourself memorable

I think your prices may be a little low – perceived value is a real issue sometimes, and if a price is low, sometimes the value doesn’t seem high enough. You may find that upping prices a couple of dollars helps that. You also need to ask yourself if you could sell your jewelry for HALF of what you’re selling it for now…. in other words, at wholesale prices.

Here a thought that may link right in with this – Could you hook up with a charity that’s connected to your son’s illness, and give a percentage of each sale to that charity? You could up the prices a little, have a charity tie-in.. seems like a win-win. For physical shows, I’d do a romance card for each piece with your story, and that “% of proceeds donated…” blurb. I really think this will make a difference for you.

Good luck, and God bless you all!!

I am a jewelry person and I have never owned jewelry of better quality, even the more expensive pieces I have purchased in the past. I am in the process of clearing out my jewelry chest of all but “Daddy and Me” pieces. The workmanship is top quality and the pieces are extraordinary! And the best perk of the whole thing is that most of my pieces are one-of-a-kind! I can request earrings and/or bracelets to match and I can choose length. And, yes, except for special gifts, I do purchase the pieces. Prices are excellent so value for money is great! Wearing my pieces is wonderful advertisement for this awesome family. I am extremely pleased when someone comments on my jewelry and I can pass on the website.

I think people would buy a peice to support your cause of helping these young kids to have something that they can do and earn a income. You could make brochures from vistaprint they have reasonable prices and have them at your table telling everyone why you started making jewelry for you son and other people going through pain and then how the kids through making jewelry can earn themselves a living. It’s inspiring.

I think it is very “grabbing.” The way you have the pieces styled in photos looks great. Maybe you could streamline your display and put some of your more expensive/dramatic pieces to themselves to spotlight them – displayed and styled similarly to the picture. There are really great display ideas on this site also. I liked and shared your Facebook page. Best wishes for your business and your family.

He said the lack of silver components within the jewelry pieces and lack of silver in general.

From my husband: the bead bracelets are beautiful very well done but what caught my eye was the silver ring if it was my size i’d buy it. If you put more silver on your site i feel you would sell more products.

I hope this info helps! best of luck!

It’s so heart-moving to hear your story, and how you’ve been such a blessing to all of those children. I know you probably feel that you are the one who has been blessed by them. What a wonderful picture of all of you!

I think it is your story, and who you all are, that has the ability to really grab people. The jewellery is very nice, and there is something particular about your line in that most of it is magnetic. You can certainly play up that factor, and see if you can research and scout out places to advertise or have sales where that would be an important factor.

But apart from that, really tell your story, like you did with us, because that causes people to connect with you, and when they feel a connection they want to buy and support this wonderful cause.

Between your magnetic jewellery, and your wonderful story, I think you definitely have something to continue to pursue.
