My most popular bracelet size is 7.5″ but I also make some in size 8 and size 7 to be accommodating. It’s nice to find something that would fit if you have larger or smaller wrists.

As for necklaces it just depends on the style I’m making most of mine are about 18″ but I also have necklaces that are super long 36″. Like I said just depends on the look I’m going for.

I am an anything goes for earrings I make all sorts of sizes and lengths but my longer ones sell the best.
If you like something make it, regardless of whether you think it will sell. There are so many different styles and people have different tastes someone is bound to love it.

I have what I consider my money makers which in reality I get little enjoyment. I have my money makers then I have things that I love to make and don’t really mind if they sit a while longer without being purchased.

Overall, I prefer to make things adjustable, although I do tend now to make all chokers and necklaces longer rather than shorter. My customers range from tiny, where a 17″ necklace looks long on them, to much larger, taller women who prefer a 44″ necklace. I designed an easily adjustable bracelet for one customer whose wrists would swell up and down over an inch in a few hours.

My best selling bracelet size is also 7.5, but I have had customers who are thrilled that they can buy jewelry for larger wrists. There doesn’t seem to be a most popular size for necklaces, though I’m told 17″ is the biggest seller for some jewelers. Earrings? No set size in my experience. Some people love big earrings, but just as many seem to love petite ones.

I sell to women 30-70 and they like longer necklaces in general. I will often make a necklace in the 20-24″ range – I can always shorten it faster than making it longer (unless its knotted).

Bracelets 7-8 inches, but once again depends on your client. If you sell to strong, strapping women or men, the length is going to be longer to fit their wrists.

Earrings my clients prefer under 2″ long, usually around the 1″ mark… but a younger client is going to like longer earrings, maybe even shoulder dusters!
