Sometimes I will add some metal components or crystals. Most of the time I use mica powder to colour the clay. You can use any colour of epoxy clay because the powders do not show the clay underneath unless you want it to.

I work with clay a lot, but I hardly ever have fingernails. I was sick for a month and let them grow out and was trying to figure out a way to keep my nails and work with clay – and rhinestones. I purchased a Crystal Katana Rhinestone Placement Tool:
amazon.com/Crystal-Katana-Replacement-Tip/dp/B00I5248A8/ref=pd_sim_201_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=51kp5ATUn8L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR120%2C160_&refRID=1MGFBVW4YDJ6R3Z4E0RQ
and it solved not only this problem but a few others also. Great tool and may help you with your future sculpting.

It is beautiful. I love bling and of course i love the sparkle that you put on those beads. Can’t wait to see what else you create.

The fingernail marks can be considered an abstract design or intentional texturing – who would know otherwise? A lovely sparkly necklace, and great mix of materials!
