Aphrodite’s Handmaiden Earrings

I’d been wanting to make some jewelry with seashells and had these clamshell shaped shells in my stash of possibilities.

I think of the sea as being abundant and while thinking of symbols of abundance, also thought of cornucopias. That lead to seeing pearls and crystals flowing from the clamshell shaped shells.

I used cultured pearls, Swarovski Crystals, glass seed beads and silver-filled chain for this necklace and earring set.
