Sizzix will cut thinner sheet, I don’t think it will do what you want.
My recommendation is to get a jeweler’s saw and some copper or brass to practice on. Draw what you want on the metal (that’s how I have done it with names in script), or print it on the computer and cut it out and glue it to the metal sheet. Get a bench pin and something to lube your saw blade with (candle, beeswax, bur life, oil, etc), and practice. Good luck!

What about using wire to create your letters? Many wire jewelry artists form wire into words for necklaces, bracelets, etc. This would give you a lot of freedom in what you create – and would probably be much cheaper to do than what you mentioned above.

I don’t know if the wire-writing technique would work for the kind of project you’re considering – but if you google “wire writing” you can see some examples of this kind of work. 🙂

I found several links by googling “What gauge metal can be cut with Sizzix die”. I don’t know if any of the die cutting machines for crafters would be strong enough for what you describe.
