That’s a GREAT idea!! THANK YOU! At this stage I only have very thin metal sheets for hand embossing. It can be used for decorating certain jewellery items like bangles, pendants etc. but not stand-alone items like this. Where (in South Africa) would I be able to buy small quantities of metal sheeting? Hardware store? Jewellery equipment supplier? I have not seen it in craft shops before.

In reply to Karen. Karen, thanks for asking! That sort of textured edge of the ring was created by the scissors I used to cut out the metal. I used Tim Holtz Tonic Studio Micro-Serrated Scissors (the smaller size, not the larger size). It does make a lovely, unique edge on the metal! :)

It looks to me like the inner edges of ring have been stamped with something, making faint lines perpendicular to the edge. What did you use to do this, please?

At almost 70 years old, I wasn’t looking for more crafts but….your tutorials are so good, I have made a number of jewelry items. Now a trip to the hardware store for copper washers to stamp for my grandsons. I usually only make jewelry for my granddaughter. Your tutorials are so easy to follow. Thank you and please keep those ideas coming. You are amazing!

It looks very difficult to cut then sand the edges so they are not sharp. It is hard?

That is so cool! I don’t do stamping and have no stamps, but the concept is fabulous! So I decided to buy a set of stamps and take this a step further using words like “faith”, “hope”, “friend”, etc. I love the fact it is adjustable and it will be inexpensive and fairly quick to make. My most inexpensive rings always sells the best but those are the quick wrappped beads but they are sized. I never seem to have enough of the right size for people. With an adjustable ring, that shouldn’t be a problem! Thanks for putting this out there. As always, you come up with great ideas.
